Education
I graduated from Oberlin College (Tier 1 US college) in 2011. Since then I spent 5 years working first as a high school educator for an environmental education non-profit, and then as a program director designing exchange programs, and working with program coordinators to develop their skills as hands-on teachers.
Experience
I grew up in the United States and am a native English speaker. I've also been studying Spanish for nearly 20 years, and lived abroad in Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Ecuador, leaving me quite fluent. I am excited to tutor students in English and Spanish because language has been so important in opening up the world for me. Language brought me to the highest peaks of the andes, the cloud forest of Nicaragua, and allowed me to immerse myself in cultures around the globe. Global literacy is an essential 21st century skill, and I've dedicated my life to developing youth leaders who are prepared to understand and solve the worlds problems.
